Electronic Result Data Management and Manipulation

The edd manager® v2.0 system is the forerunner of the ZA Electronic Dataset Deliverables (EDD) Solutions family, and was developed out of Zimet Associates' long history of working with laboratories in New Jersey who are required to generate and submit electronic datasets for the NJDEP Site Remediation Program (SRP). The original edd manager® v1.0 application was a more powerful and intuitive approach to complex EDD generation required by the SRPEDI. As an actual 32-bit application it surpassed observed attempts to create and distribute these files using automated spreadsheets in conjunction with crude manual operations. With its simplicity of use it was clearly a more desirable alternative to the outdated SRPEDI Hazsite application provided by the NJDEP.

edd manager® v2.0 has taken laboratory and client SRP EDD management to the next level with an improved user interface that allows for rapid information entry, dataset navigation, and EDD package management. Added networking features allow facilities to share SRP data in a multi-user environment through Microsoft Windows Networking Services. Features such as the edd wizard® make for rapid EDD compilation, storage, and output in only a few simple steps. The enhanced metrics controls are a favored time saver that permits users to define and import field measurements not normally integrated into the result datasets provided by the reporting laboratory. The v2.0 system works with NJDEP provided SRPEDI EDSA Checker application and creates valid SRPEDI dataset in accordance to the specifications of the NJDEP SRPEDI table/file structure definitions expressed in the Site Remediation Program Electronic Data Interchange Manual.

One of the most significant changes in this version of edd manager® is that it is now an actual database driven application. Utilizing a Microsoft Access Database and through ADO and ODBC edd manager® provides end users with both a familiar platform to reuse and manage there information as well as a stable database engine for small workgroups. Users experienced with working in Microsoft Access will have no problem writing custom reports through the Microsoft Access Application environment (Microsoft Office or Microsoft Access purchase required).
